    The pads around ankle are great at holding my foot in the boot when up on my toes. I have really narrow feet ant that extra really made the difference.

      these boots are very comfortable, however my feet did get cold quite often while i was up on the mountain. other than that they fit perfectly, and were easy to adjust and wear.
